Members of the Bishop Shanahan High School community received a communication on Tuesday that contained inaccurate information about House Bill 2632 and its impact on Bishop Shanahan students. The message referenced a statement from Philadelphia Archbishop Nelson Pérez, which also contained inaccurate and misleading information.
It was important to me that we swiftly correct the record on this bill and these statements. On Wednesday morning, I sent the letters linked below to Archbishop Pérez, the leaders of Bishop Shanahan, and the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference, and I have invited each of them to have a conversation if they have further questions about the bill.
